The Flyers were able to get a little revenge pn the Caps beating them 3-1 in Washington last night. The New Years Eve game versus the Caps was the only loss so far on the Flyers 11 game road trip.

Mike Rathje scored a short handed goal, Simon Gagne scored a power play goal and Peter Forsberg added an empty netter.

Randy Jones was recalled from the Phantoms replacing Dennis Seidenburg who was out will a knee injury. Jones played 12 minutes and was even on the night. He wears #29.

Three stars for the game were Gagne, Forsberg and Ovechkin.

Coach Hitchcock along with many, many Flyers fans have not been pleased with Chris Therien’s play recently. It has been reported to the media that Hitchcock said – “I told Chris that the game time has to be 7 p.m. and not 7:45.” This pointing out Theriens slow starts.

Therien has gotten under the skin of a fan enough for them to set of a website.
