Comcast SportsNet invites hockey fans out to the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ, on Saturday, September 16 for a live taping of “Meet The Flyers 2006.” Comcast SportsNet’s Michael Barkann will host the show with Keith Jones, Al Morganti and Steve Coates adding their expert analysis.
“Meet The Flyers 2006,” is a Comcast SportsNet tradition that introduces the fans to the new faces of the Philadelphia Flyers and catches up with the current team. Players scheduled to appear include: Peter Forsberg, Jeff Carter, R.J. Umberger, Mike Knuble, Geoff Sanderson, Kyle Calder and Mike Richards. Flyers Chairman Ed Snider, General Manager Bob Clarke and Head Coach Ken Hitchcock will also be a part of the program.
At 3 p.m. Comcast SportsNet and WMMR will warm up the audience with games, trivia and Q&A with fun prizes for everyone. The show taping will begin at 4 p.m. and will last approximately one hour. Everyone is invited to come out and be a part of this great event. Seating is limited so people are encouraged to get there early.
Fans are encouraged to bring gently used sporting goods for the chance to win tickets in the Comcast SportsNet suite for the Flyers 2006 home opener against the New York Rangers on Saturday, October 7 at 7 p.m.
“Meet The Flyers 2006,” will air exclusively on Comcast SportsNet on Sunday, September 24 at 9 p.m.; Monday, September 25 at 11 p.m.; Thursday, September 28 at 11 a.m.; Monday, October 2 at 9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 4 at 7 p.m.
