Too bad, Flyers! They did give New Jersey a better game than anyone expected, but NJ didn’t look really great, either. I didn’t give up complete hope till they went through OT. I knew quite well there was no way they would win in a shootout. With all the trade talk going around, let’s see how it will all stack up.
Flyers did play a pretty strong game I thought. I consider that a tie, never did like the 3 artificial breakaways to decide the game.
Zhitnik and Richards both minus -2 for the game and Fedoruk registered no hits, hhmmmm. Flyers were also out shot every period.
Potulny scores in the first 2 minutes and still only sees 6 minutes of icetime? If Potulny would have played all year with the Flyers and kept on his goal pace he would be third on the team in goals behind Knuble and in front of Umberger. Even with averaging 3 to 6 minutes of icetime less.
All-Star break now so no Flyers games till Saturday. Gagne gets to play on Wednesday. The All-Star game is on a Wednesday? The ratings should be through the floor. What smart guy thought that up? Not even on national TV here in the states instead it is on Versus. No Flyers heading to the YoungStars Game on Tuesday.
