Sean Avery has been suspended by the NHL indefinitely for comments he made recently.

Yeah, suspended for that. Not a fan of Sean Avery and he is definitely an agitator on the ice. But the suspension is bunch of crap. Its easy for the NHL to suspend Avery for his reputation or his general dislike from fans and around the league. Downie dealt with this last season with the long suspension.
Avery didn’t curse, nor did bad mouth the NHL in anyway.

I was also disappointed by the Versus news desk particularly Keith Jones towing the NHL line on this issue. Trying to justify his stance by bringing up the Todd Bertuzzi situation saying a player might do to Avery what Bertuzzi did to Steve Moore, please. What he said doesn’t justify someone punching him in the head from behind, jumping on his back and driving his head into the ice. Although I’m sure there are many fans that would like to see that happen.

Like I said, not a fan of Avery and what he said wasn’t ‘professional’ but to suspend him for that? Jeesh, some people need to get a thicker skin.
