While most of Philadelphia was drowning their Eagles sorrows in the bottom of near empty Yuenglings Danny Briere was helping the Phantoms win their third game in a row after dropping nine of their previous ten. Briere was originally scheduled to play only two games with the Flyers AHL affiliate but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to wear his own vintage 1992 All Star Jersey. The Phantoms wore throwback jerseys to commemorate the final All Star Game in America’s Showplace – a game in which Rod the Bod was the only Flyer who actually represented the host city. Briere and his $8M salary had 5 points during his 3 game stint with the Phantoms
