VOORHEES – Daniel Briere says he’s ready to go back to work, but it’s still unclear who’s going to "pay" for his salary. The Flyers admit one or more players will probably have to leave the roster in order to get Briere’s $6.5-million cap-hit number on it. Philadelphia general manager Paul Holmgren needs to come up with a couple million dollars to get in compliance with the $56.7-million ceiling. He can send Luca Sbisa back to juniors and Claude Giroux back to the Phantoms, and already he has gotten Lasse Kukkonen through waivers, clearing a move to the minors.
