Simon Gagne scored the only goal in the shootout, and Antero Niittymaki stopped all three Florida shooters in the Philadelphia Flyers’ 3-2 victory over the Panthers on Friday night. Niittymaki ended the shootout when he blocked Nathan Horton’s wrist shot. Ville Peltonen and Michael Frolik also failed to score for Florida in the shootout.
