The way I see it, Marty Biron should be looking at the remainder of this season as if he is playing for his next contract. If I’m Paul Holmgren, I don’t rush into a new deal. I wait the season out, see how well Biron plays, whether he can raise himself farther than he did last season, and see about free agency.
