Daniel Briere unexpectedly sat out his 36th straight game with groin pain Friday night and will try again on Sunday. Briere told Flyers GM Paul Holmgren that he’s not quite 100 percent and will need some more time. Holmgren said he’s like to see Briere play the two games before Wednesday’s trade deadline so he can plan accordingly
