Paul Holmgren will address the reason for this callup before tonight’s game: The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have recalled forward Andreas Nodl on emergency conditions from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, according to club General Manager Paul Holmgren. Nodl will be available to play in tonight’s Flyers-Boston Bruins game at the Wachovia Center and will wear uniform #14. Nodl, 22, has a goal and three assists for four points and two penalty minutes in 31 games with the Flyers this season, his first in the NHL. In 39 games with the Phantoms, he has six goals and 14 assists for 20 points and 20 penalty minutes
