Paul Holmgren was evasive when he met with reporters and was asked to explain why Danny Syvret was an emergency recall before Thursday night’s game. Syvret was believed to be recalled because defenseman Kimmo Timonen was suffering from flu sumptoms, but Holmgren did not confirm that. Timonen is in the lineup.
