The wavering voice, the double ear touch, the turning away from the camera – pretty sad shit. You can tell that words like “economy” and “business” give him an unemotional break in an otherwise very emotional interview, but there aren’t enough of them to save him. Pretty sure Scottie, if he had his way, would have liked to play his entire career here. No family to go with him, his first real NHL city, a place where the fans liked him, great friends his age who had kind of formed their own little unit…of the people whose feelings it would have hurt to have been traded I have to put Upshall at #1
