Flyers' Carcillo suspended, Stevens fined (AP)

Philadelphia Flyers forward Daniel Carcillo was suspended for one game and coach John Stevens was fined $10,000 by the NHL on Thursday, a day after Carcillo hit Pittsburgh’s Maxime Talbot in the head in the playoff opener. With 7 seconds left in the third period in the Penguins’ 4-1 victory Wednesday night, Carcillo delivered a blow to Talbot’s head directly off a faceoff.

  1. i think that maybe john stevens should show a little bit of emotion when the team is not doing the things they are supposed to or when the refs make a bad call, which they have done a lot lately and maybe cost the flyers some games. i also believe that the flyers have a bad rep. and the refs are just watching them more than they watch the other teams

  2. I agree. Stevens should also not hang his players out to dry for penalties that were horrible calls by the ref.
