Watching that intro video 17 times this afternoon got me thinking about the Flyers history. And we understand that prior results have no indication of future behavior or outcomes in something with as few constants as sports, but we thought it’d be fun to take a look back at a Flyers playoff performance from the past. Our demographics tell us that our audience is mainly 60 year old men posing as 14 year old girls, so you’ll probably all remember this one. Bobby Nystrom’s overtime goal in Game 6 of the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals marked the beginning of an era of prosperity that John Tavares and the Kansas City Islanders only pray they’ll be able to come close to in the next 20 years.
