Flyers ‘ General Manager Paul Holmgren announced today that Simon Gagne had successful surgery on his right hip. Fortunately, it appears to be nothing more than bone spur removal and a clean up of scar tissue and not the dreaded “labrum tear.” Thomas Byrd performed the surgery in Nashville, Tenn. Gagne’s recovery will take 4-6 weeks, Holmgren said.
