Last year Paul Holmgren collected what I referred to, when the Nazi’s weren’t listening in on my conversations, as “an army of defenseman” during the Flyers off-season. He was bringing in supposedly puck moving defensemen almost every other day: 6/6: Flyers trade Ryan Potulny for Danny Syvert 6/20: Flyers draft Swiss born D-man Luca Sbisa with 19th overall pick, and others… 6/20: Flyers acquire Steve Emminger and 3rd Round pick for a 1st Round pick 6/24: Flyers trade Triston Grant and 7th round pick in 2009 for Janne Niskala, who later becomes a 6th Round Pick in 2009
