The Flyers have signed free-agent center Blair Betts to a tryout contract. Betts, 29, is a rugged 6-foot-3, 210-pounder from Edmonton who played the past four seasons as a checking-line center for the New York Rangers. “He’s a really good role player,” Stevens said.
