Flyers Fight Back To Beat Bruins

They are a desperate hockey team. They played like a desperate hockey team. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Boston Bruins last night because they played 60 minutes of desperate hockey. For the first time in the Peter Laviolette era the Flyers beat a quality opponent and outplayed and out skated them for the duration of the contest. The Flyers have been in a free fall for the past month. Learning a new system, trade rumors, injuries, and own self-doubt, this 3-1 victory over their Winter Classic opponents became a real confidence builder. The Flyers came from behind being down 1-0 after the second period scoring three unanswered goals in the third. The game didn’t look to promising when the Flyers couldn’t capitalize on a 5-on-3 in the first period where they registered only one shot
