Flyers Trade Taylor Hall to Anaheim for Early Bird Golf Special

The Flyers currently sit in a 7 way tie for the honor to claim that they are the second worst team in the NHL. Yes, they have games at hand, but that hasn’t seemed to mean anything lately except that I’m even more hungover at work the next day. When the Flyers gave up what seemed like a lot to get Chris Pronger this past summer one of the ways that we all justified his Mountain Dew Extreme price tag was to remind ourselves that a lot of 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th picks never even make it to the NHL. But if Pronger doesn’t start moving his T-Rex legs a little more like Jurassic Park and whole lot less like the Natural History Museum we’re going to be the team that gave up at least 4 first round picks, two of them in the top 10, to have a rock tied around our waist when we were swimming. The first overall draft pick this coming year is going to be a kid from Don Cherry’s hometown, Taylor Hall. The NHL loves a superstar almost as much as a controversy about a who is a superstar these days so expect him to have some “competition” come June in the form of Plymouth Whalers center Tyler Seguin
