If anyone is bigger question enigma on the Flyers this season than Jeff Carter, then I really need to go back and take some English classes. Now in his 5th – yes, 5th – year with the Flyers, the recently turned 25 year old Carter is on the verge of stepping into the prime of his NHL career. However, he’s been the most mercurial forward in recent team history. After tantalizing us for the past two seasons with killer goal output and seemingly establishing himself as one of the NHL’s rising stars, he has pulled a great Houdini on us this season… so much you start looking for the smoke, mirrors, and beautiful assistant to go along his vanishing slight of hand that would make David Copperfield and that wacko Chris Angel jealous. Next up: he’s sawing Scott Hartnell in two! What a difference a year makes…
