How are losing streaks so blatant yet incredibly successful runs can sneak up on you? Somehow after weeks of turmoil, a change in coaching, and constant trade speculation the Flyers are the third hottest team in the Eastern Conference over their past ten games. And when later today the Devils lose the game against the Lightning that they’re currently in the middle of, the Flyers will be the 2nd hottest team in the East. When did this happen?   We’re scoring at even strength and on the powerplay, we’re killing penalties during the decreasing occurrences we find ourselves in the box, and we’re closing out opponents when comebacks start to glimer in the opposition’s eyes. We’ve had one major hiccup over the past 3 weeks (Kovalev) and all signs point to that simply being a blip on the radar screen.   And just in time too, as now we’re the only game in town…   Today marks the official opening of Flyers season in Philadelphia
