From the get-go I was a fan of Chris Drury making Team USA. I’ve always had an affinity for Drury since my first and only Boston University hockey game also happened to be the game in which the pride of Trumbull, CT scored his 100th collegiate goal during the winter of 1998. I never even got involved in any of the online debates surrounding Drury’s selection – it just seemed to make sense. I see a lot more Rangers games and read a lot more New York media than I care to admit, living in New York. So I was vaguely aware that Drury wasn’t living up to his contract (one of the many).
