There are four points on the table and it is actually even more when you think of this as a larger swing because we are playing a conference rival. The Habs have one more point than we do and have played three more games. So if we are able to take all four points we would surge past them in the standings by three points and we would still have the three games in hand. Wins in this back to back series would have us sitting in sixth place and have games in hand when we return to action in a couple of weeks. The potential loss of Emery for the season is very critical to our success coming down the final few weeks of the season. Leighton has played well but I am not certain he can carry this team through the playoffs.

Two games before the break
Is anyone else bummed that tomorrow’s game is the last Flyers game in February? I’m just glad that Comcast SportsNet is showing some Flyers programming while the team is on the Olympic break, so that should help.
