First of all, I’d like to thank Cherry Hill’s Bobby Ryan for the insightful blogs he wrote during Team USA’s incredible journey through the Winter Olympics. If you missed any of them, click below. Turning to the Flyers there are trade rumors swirling today. First the news: The club has placed LW Riley Cote and D Danny Syvret on waivers, presumably to clear salary room for a trade. The club is believed to be discussing a trade that would send D Ryan Parent to Nashville for D Dan Hamhuis, who would be a solid addition to the blue line. But the Flyers might also have an interest in a pair of Blue Jackets that will become UFAs after this season — forward Raffi Torres (2.75 mill) and defenseman Milan Jurcina (1.375 mill).
