Tonight we have our 3rd string goalie being backed up by our 6th string goalie. Until we know what happened to Michael Leighton, Brian Boucher is in the driver’s seat. For better or worse, that’s the cards that we’ve been dealt Flyers fans, and tonight Boucher gets a tough first test when the Flyers take on the desperate Dallas Stars. I never ever thought I’d say that Michael Leighton gave me confidence, but he did. He played great in his stretch of starts, always giving the Flyers a chance for a win. With him out, and Panotch reporting that he heard a “pop”, we are left here in a Leighton-less world. In a cruel twist of fate, we now rely on Boucher. The Boosh….the guy who hasn’t started a game since December, will now more than likely finish our the regular season as the starting goalie
