The Flyers are certainly in a dire situation as they head into their final game of the regular season Sunday afternoon against the Rangers, but with a little help today, they can squeak into the playoffs with a single point. With 87 points the Montreal Canadiens are one point ahead of the Flyers and Rangers with one game remaining tonight in Toronto. If the Canadiens lose tonight in regulation, the Flyers would clinch a playoff berth with one point on Sunday because they would finish with more wins than the Canadiens. In fact, if the Bruins lose today and lose Sunday’s game against Washigton, the Flyers and Rangers could get in if the Rangers beat the Flyers in overtime or shootout.
