Jeff Carter returned to practice today and according to GM Paul Holmgren he looked better than expected. Whether that means Carter will be in the lineup for Friday night’s all-important showdown with the Rangers will depend on how Carter’s broken left foot feels when he wakes up Friday morning. The feeling here is that Carter would not have been practicing Thursday without the intent of playing Friday. And the face that Carter was not limping at all after practice is a strong indication he’ll be in the lineup. If Carter returns to the lineup, look for Ville Leino to come out of the lineup.
