Flyers coach Peter Laviolette sees a trend in this first round playoff series against the New Jersey Devils and he wants it to end. Although the Flyers hold a 2-1 edge in the series, they have skated on the wrong side of their coach’s disciplinary tight rope and will hear about it right up until Game 4 Tuesday night in Philadelphia. “I’m very disappointed in the penalties we took,†Laviolette said after the Flyers killed off six of eight penalties in Sunday’s 3-2 overtime win. “They were lazy penalties. Too many hooks and hold ups. We need to let our legs do the work and keep our sticks on the ice. “I’m also disappointed there weren’t more infractions the other way.†Through three games, the Flyers have killed off 13 of the Devils’ 16 power plays
