So the Flyers and the Rangers face off tonight in the play-in series. The Flyers will face the Rangers needing just two points to make the playoffs a guarantee. This will be the first round of the playoffs for both teams. The difference is that these two teams only have a two game series and the Flyers have an advantage of only having to take one game. Deja vu all over again. Last year we needed to beat the Rangers to secure home-ice advantage and we tanked it. Then we traveled to Pittsburgh for game one and it was downhill from there. I don’t know if home ice would have made a difference but it couldn’t have hurt
