Two years ago life as a Flyers fans was exciting, if I remember it correctly. We had gone from worst to 6th in the East in one short year. Not quite a turn around as dramatic as the Coyotes are continuing to pull off this season, but impressive none the less. Two years ago somewhere around this time of year we were getting ready to face our first playoff opponent since 2006, and now we’re getting ready to face our first playoff opponent since last week – both the Washington Capitals. If the Caps ever decide to finish off the Habs (tonight in Montreal) one half of the Eastern Conference Finals will feature a Philadelphia – Washington matchup that might hearken back to 2008.
