If the Flyers beat the Rangers they will finish as the seventh seed. If the Rangers beat the Flyers they will finish as the eighth seed. If the Rangers iwin they will face top-seeded Washington in the first round. If the Flyers win they will face either New Jersey or Buffalo in the first round, depending on the outcome of the Devils-Sabres game today at 5 pm in Newark, NJ. If the Sabres win that game in regulation, they move into the No. 2 spot and would face the Flyers if the Flyers win and the Canadiens if the Devils win. The Devils need one point to finish as the No. 2 seed.
