Danny Briere will come into training camp at the same weight he departed after last spring’s playoffs – 170 pounds. It’s the lightest he will be in several years coming to camp. He says he feels lighter and quicker on the ice at that weight and played much of the season at it. Ironically, he admits that personal issues off the ice was the catalyst for him losing weight.
