In the final game of the preseason, the Buffalo Sabres took it to an Adirondack Phantoms team masquerading in Philadelphia Flyers uniforms. It was just one of those nights at the end of the preseason where the Flyers didn’t want to risk injury to their regulars. Among the few vets who did play, none had a particularly good night. Bill Guerin struggled in his final tryout game
