As I Tweeted earlier this afternoon, Flyer defenseman Matt Walker may need hip surgery. General manager Paul Holmgren met with the media today and said the club is awaiting another opinion from a doctor and look to make a decision on surgery by the end of weekend. “We’re still not sure what direction we’re going here,” Holmgren said. Walker would miss “significant” time, he said.
