Many of the fans missed it and so did several television cameras. But just before time expired in the Flyers’ 3-2 win over the Rangers in Madison Square Garden, a pair of Flyers — Scott Hartnell and Danny Briere — threw a punch at Rangers forward Brandon Prust as he skated by the visitors’ bench in the closing seconds. Prust had just leveled Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen after Timonen fired a backhander down the ice to kill a Rangers rally and preserve the win.
