Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren made a very bold statement on Monday when he acquired 24-year-old Kris Versteeg from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for the Flyers’ first- and third-round picks of the 2011 NHL draft. The Flyers aren’t satisfied having the best record in the Eastern Conference; they’re absolutely loading up to win the Stanley Cup. “Kris is an exciting young forward,†Holmgren said.
