For all the speculation about when — and if — Chris Pronger will play in the Flyers’ first round series with the Sabres, the news that Blair Betts will be available for Game 1 has fallen by the wayside. But that is actually a hopeful for the Flyers in this series. If you look at the Flyers’ record in each of the last two seasons when Betts has been out of the lineup, it isn’t pretty.
