Brayden Schenn, the biggest prize the Flyers got back from the Los Angeles Kings this summer in the Mike Richards trade, was called up from the AHL on Tuesday and is expected to make his season debut in tonight’s showdown game against the Caps at Wells Fargo Center. It will be real interesting to see how Schenn initally will be used. My guess is he’ll replace fellow rookie Sean Couturier as the third-line center with Scott Hartnell and rookie Matt Read on the wings. Doing this allows Laviolette to keep Couturier at center on the fourth line because Max Talbot easily can slide to a wing.
