Jagr nursing mild groin strain Jaromir Jagr was pretty sure that a leg injury that ended his Winter Classic early wouldn’t be that be a deal. He’s right and wrong. This left groin strain is being called “mild” by the Flyers, but the future Hall of Fame right wing will be sidelined for the next 7-to-10 days, general manager Paul Holmgren said. Jagr says he tweaked his groin last Thursday in Pittsburgh being speared by the stick of a Penguins player, then hurt it again late into the first period of the Flyers’ 3-2 Winter Classic loss to the New York Rangers at Citizens Bank Park.
