Mediation Never Had a Chance

Was anybody surprised that federal mediation of the NHL lockout quickly proved to be a failure? Both the NHL and NHLPA are so firmly dug in to their respective short-sighted positions that mediation had zero chance of success. Special Teams Costly in Phantoms Loss
