PHILADELPHIA- (January 21, 2014) – Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network are proud to be the broadcast partners of the 37th Annual Flyers Wives Carnival, coming to the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, January 26. Comcast SportsNet will air the Carnival live from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. with Flyers broadcasters Steve Coates, Jim Jackson and Bill Clement bringing viewers the action. CSNPhilly.com will live stream Comcast SportsNet’s carnival broadcast from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The 37th Annual Flyers Wives Carnival will replay on Sunday, January 26 at 11 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The Comcast Network will also air replays on Sunday, January 26 at 5 p.m. and Thursday, January 30 at 7 p.m. The Carnival will also be available on Xfinity! ON DEMAND beginning Monday, January 27.

In addition to the Flyers broadcasters, Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers Postgame Live analyst Al Morganti, CSNPhilly.com’s Sarah Baicker, Flyers radio announcers Tim Saunders and Chris Therien and anthemist Lauren Hart will bring to life the sights and sounds of the Carnival including interviews with players, management, alumni and fans.

The Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival is a genuine family affair that involves the participation of the Flyers’ players, management, staff, alumni and their families. The first Carnival was held February 1, 1977. Later that year, one of the Flyers’ own, Barry Ashbee, died of leukemia. With his death came a truly heartfelt focus to the Flyers Wives Carnival. The Flyers Wives Carnival offers families a fun-filled afternoon at a very reasonable price, all for a good cause.

Since its inception Comcast-Spectacor Charities, which encompasses Flyers Charities and Global Spectrum Charities, has contributed over $25 million to charity. The funds raised from the Flyers Wives Carnival and other initiatives of Comcast-Spectacor Charities help support hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region, including the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation. Comcast-Spectacor Charities prides itself on helping support not just one but a multitude of worthy non-profit organizations that benefit everything from important health care initiatives such as heart health and stroke and cancer awareness to various youth recreation programs.
