Join Flyers center Danny Briere as he takes you through the highs and lows of Round 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs against his former team, the Buffalo Sabres: Yesterday was quite the roller coaster once again. The whole series has been the ups and downs of emotions. We did celebrate for a few minutes in the dressing room but right after it was on the plane and thinking about the next one already. The goal is to send them home, to win four games and clinch the series, so yesterday was a huge win to force a Game 7 but there’s still one more game in the series left and that’s where the focus went almost immediately.

Philadelphia Flyers Post-Game Notes April 24, 2011 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals – Game 6 FLYERS (5) – Buffalo (4) (OT) This was the Flyers’ third overtime win in a game in which they were facing elimination in the last four postseasons. Other two – 2008 ECQF, Gm 7, 3-2 at WSH; 2010 ECSF, Gm 5, 5-4 vs. BOS.

There’s some ups, there’s some downs. It wouldn’t be fun if it was too easy, anyway. We’re used to making it tough on ourselves, but there’s no doubt I still believe in our chances.
