Flyers winger Jakub Voracek is a very lucky guy.
He crashed his Ferrari in the Czech Republic on Wednesday and walked away uninjured.
“All good … no injuries, no alcohol,” he told me in a text.

One of the most frustrating aspects of following the Flyers over the years – decades – is how they have handled themselves regarding defensemen in the NHL Draft.

Well, I took a pounding in my picks in the first round for the Western Conference, going 1-3 after being perfect in the East.

Couple of things really surprised me about Tuesday’s Penguins-Islanders Game 4 on the Island:
1) That Pens coach Dan Bylsma allowed goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to remain in the game after it was apparent in the second period he was a mess;

During Saturday’s loss in Winnipeg, there was a shot on television showing the Flyers bench in the third period during a pause with goalie Steve Mason over at the bench.
As he approached, Ilya Bryzgalov shut his eyes and acted like he was sleeping or bored or whatever. He often makes faces and creates theatrics which is part of his makeup.
