Two episodes into HBO’s 24/7 and I’m starting to feel a twinge of anticipation for the Winter Classic on Jan. 2. We’re around the “shooters” every day and I know that Peter Laviolette told me a few weeks ago he feels they can be intrusive, but the stuff they are getting is great. I kinda marvel at how it all comes together

DALLAS _ No one asked me, but I still wish the Flyers would hold off on putting Claude Giroux back in the lineup before Christmas. Every indication we had today in Big D is that he is going to play tomorrow night against the Dallas Stars. He took regular shifts with his line and was part of a new power play unit that even surprised Jaromir Jagr, who like me, wondered why Scott Hartnell was

DENVER – Claude Giroux was skating with his teammates today for the first time in days, while wearing the yellow “no contact” jersey. That I like.

The players did not know this until the media informed them after the morning skate. “You look at the best teams over the years, most of them have had to deal with injuries and it’s how you rea

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren tried to put on a brave face on Saturday night. He said that Claude Giroux was “okay” but his body language seemed to be saying, “We’re really hoping that he doesn’t have a concussion but we don’t know.” It will be days before Giroux is really out of danger. Then again, as we’ve seen with Chris Pronger and other NHLers, concussions cane be very latent

We had a chance to get Peter Laviolette tonight before the game. Lavy complained that he was beginning to sweat in his warmups as I grilled him over Chris Pronger. So did Randy Miller, Dave Isaac and Anthony SanFilippo.
