Hextall on Timonen Re-Signing

The Flyers re-signed Kimmo Timonen to a one-year contract on Friday.

The deal reportedly carries a $2 million base salary and has incentives that could equal $4 million but would carry over into 2015-16.

Financially, the deal works for the Flyers, but if this is the best the Flyers can do for next season and fail to upgrade with a young, puck-mover, this club is in dire straits.
