I headed down to Voorhees today to check on the boys. Today was a longer practice then the last one I was at, probably because they were off yesterday and will most likely have an abbreviated skate tomorrow in advance of their roadtrip. Upshall and Eager were both skating, so perhaps they will be back soon. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere, and everyone was having a good time while working hard. It seemed like they were really working Niitymaki pretty hard, so I was thinking he would get a start soon, but maybe not…
It was announced that Antero is starting Thursday night against Tampa Bay. It will be good to get Biron a game off, and get Antero some live game action.

I agree, nice blog. How I wish I still lived in the Philly area to attend practices.
Besides Nitty getting the nod, reports are Scotty Upshall is ahead of schedule and projected to return November 1st against Montreal.
Also…Biron was named NHL first star of the week. How long has it been since the Flyers had a goalie win that accolade?!?! ha
