Simon Gagne is expected to test his strained right groin today at the Skate Zone. Gagne “tweaked” his surgically repaired right hip/groin on Aug. 25 and has refrained from skating ever since. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said he expects Gagne to be ready for the regular season, but it’s unlikely he’ll participate in any training camp action until late September.
