Flyers sign Betts for two years, $1.4 million

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have signed 6’3’’, 210-pound center Blair Betts to a multi-year contract extension, according to club General Manager Paul Holmgren. The contract is believed to be for two years at $700,000 per season. “Blair has been a valuable addition to our team this year,” said Holmgren. “He has a strong work ethic and plays an important role on our team. We are pleased to have him under contract for the future.” Betts, 29, has six goals and four assists for 10 points and 12 penalty minutes in 39 games thus far in his first season with the Flyers.
