Leighton out 8-10 weeks with ankle sprain

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren revealed today that goaltender Michael Leighton will be sidelined 8 to 10 weeks with a high ankle sprain. That means Brian Boucher will carry the goaltending duties through the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs. The earliest Leighton could return to the Flyers is likely the third round of the playoffs and if Boucher can get them that far, he would almost certainly be given the job the remainder of the post-season.
