Needless to say that was a big win. I almost fell off the treadmill when Carcillo scored just seconds into the game (yes treadmill, I’m not always crushing it at the bar, although this treadmill was in a bar). There’s one thing I couldn’t believe wasn’t addressed by the announcers during the game, however, and that was Matt Carle’s soft play. o There was a segment during the second period where the NBC crew highlighted the unsung play of Red Wings forward Patrick Eaves. The package consisted of 2 clips of goals and 1 of Eaves winning a race to cancel out an icing call. But all three displayed why Matt Carle needs to be bitten by Chris Pronger and catch some of his rabies. On both goals in the first period Carle was standing in front of Brian Boucher looking around like a kid who lost his mom in the mall.
